Curatorial Practices
This personal object appears again as it made its way in cross-curricular action. For this class I had to research this object and it turned out to be a tricky one. As I've mentioned in Care of Collections, without an obvious connection to a manufacturer or toy company, finding information on this object was challenging. In research, as I'm continuing to learn, it can be about seeing a bigger picture or changing the focus when it comes to what information brings out the story in the object. And ultimately comes down to what kind of story would you like to tell with an object. What is your "so what" factor?
There are so many paths to go on in research and storytelling and also what will be useful to you moving forward in exhibit planning and so forth.
