Greetings and salutations
My name is Rue.

I’m interested in the truths that live inside stories—the ones that are harder to see, or easier to ignore.

I’m an artist, dancer and emerging museum professional with a long-standing fascination with the unusual, the anatomical, and the ways our bodies and minds hold memory. Drawing and making have always been ways for me to explore inner and outer worlds, and that instinct to look closely and dwell with the strange, neglected, and overseen, carries into my work today.

Through my time in museum practices and studies, I continue to have an interest in how stories are told through experience—how museums and galleries, and the physical pieces they contain, can invite curiousity, connection, and sometimes difficult conversations. What I would like to bring forward in my work is focus on marginalized narratives, overlooked experiences, and histories that challenge our ideas of what it means to be human, and what it means to inhabit a body in the world.
